Paper 1 Topic Idea
I really think I want to further analyze the Nike case. As we discussed in class, I think it’d be interesting to see why Nike changed and to further analyze this change in terms of shareholders and stakeholders. Was it because of one person or a number of events? Did their financial situation have anything to do with it? I very much see Nike as a shareholder after reading the case, so I’d like to see if they ever actually were a stakeholder and what kinds of ethics and values drove their business at that point. If they were a stakeholder, who were the groups that had a “stake” in the Nike and what was their interactions with the company? Just some ideas about what to look at for this company, but I am pretty set on wanting to look further into Nike.
